Ukraine Crisis Appeal
Posted on 4th Mar 2022Fakenham Academy Launches Ukraine Crisis Appeal
Fakenham Academy has launched a community appeal for the Ukrainian people affected by war. We are educating students about the crisis through our pastoral programme and we have been horrified by the events in Ukraine and find it necessary to act.
The school’s JustGiving page links to the DEC (Disasters Emergency Committee) who work with a range of charities engaged in humanitarian aid in Ukraine and with the refugees in Europe fleeing the conflict.
If everyone in our community gives just £5 we could raise over £4,000 to help the people of Ukraine.
Non-uniform Day Friday 18th March - wear something blue and yellow to support Ukraine. In addition, Fakenham Academy has students involved in planning a range of fund raising activities to further this appeal - details to follow in the coming weeks. All proceeds to the appeal.
As a community Fakenham Academy stands together against the deplorable invasion of Ukraine and asks for the community’s support to provide urgent aid.
Please pledge whatever you can afford at:

Please also share the page with friends and family so that we can help as many refugees and victims of the war as possible.
If you have any fundraising ideas or would like to be involved in further events please contact: katharine.kemp@fakenhamacademy.org
We thank you all for your support.
