Sixth Form Bursary Introduction - 2026/27
○ The 16-19 Bursary comprises two elements; the Discretionary Bursary and the Bursary for defined vulnerable groups.
○ The allocation of funds for the Discretionary Bursary from the Educational Funding
Agency varies from year to year. As such, awards could vary depending, individual circumstances and established need, on the number of claimants and the total funds received by the Academy.
○ The Bursary for defined vulnerable group is a fixed maximum amount of £1,200 that must be applied for from the Student Bursary Support Service (SBSS) on behalf of a student. This is a means tested bursary, there is no guarantee you will receive this but it will be decided on by need.
Sixth Form Bursary Mini Guide 2026/27
To apply for a Sixth Form Bursary for the 2026/27 academic year, you will need to complete the application form below.
(This must be completed by the student with Parents present due to information required, the form will open from the first day of Sixth Form and will require a student email address to access).
Once we have received all the required information and supporting evidence, we will assess your application and let you know whether the student is eligible for a Sixth Form Bursary.
Please note that applications cannot be submitted until Thursday 3 September 2026. Any applications received before this date will not be processed.

Free School Meals Information
There have been some updates to Free School Meals (FSM) for 2026/27.
To help you understand these changes and check your eligibility, we recommend visiting the Norfolk County Council webpage, which provides up-to-date guidance and support:

If your child is currently in receipt of Free School Meals (Or was During Year 11), please check you are still entitled from September when the changes come into place as these could stop.
If you think your child may be eligible, we strongly encourage you to apply, as this can provide valuable support.
