A message from the SENDCo
At Fakenham Academy, we recognise that every child is special and unique. We are committed to working together with all members of our community to provide the best possible education for the pupils in our care. Our staff are passionate and committed to meeting the needs of all our children and strive to break down any barriers that are preventing children from making the progress they are capable of. As a school, we recognise the importance of not only supporting children’s academic progress but also developing their behavioural, emotional and social skills to enable them to be confident, independent learners and being the best they can be.

As part of SEN legislation, Local Authorities have a duty to publish a Local Offer setting out, in one place, information about the provision available in their area across education, health and social care for vulnerable children and young people. For more information, visit:

Click here for Section 6 of the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Code of Practice from 0 to 25 years to get full information from the DFE on what schools should be doing for their pupils and families.
We think this is a fantastic video produced by Children, celebrating diversity. Everyone is different, so nobody is normal!
