Vision and Values

Our vision at Fakenham Academy is very simple, we want to give all young people the very best start in life that is possible.

Students who leave at any point in their education will be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to progress on to the next stage of their education, training or employment. Our curriculum is fully rounded, offering students opportunities both inside and outside the classroom to discover and develop their talents. Students are prepared for life in modern Britain, knowing how to relate, interact, contribute and flourish as citizens. Students value, and engage with the wide range of opportunities on offer to them. Reading is a skill which is promoted throughout all years so that students are confident, fluent and frequent readers.

Students at Fakenham will achieve highly. The quality of pupils’ work reflects their ambition to do well and their determination to succeed. Our curriculum is designed to be ambitious whilst allowing everyone to flourish. Our teachers are confident, expert practitioners in their subjects, teaching personalised and engaging lessons to all.

We have the highest expectations of students and the behaviour they display. Our students respect each other and themselves. Our students have great ambition for themselves. Our students are resilient, confident, independent learners. Our students value the education they are provided with, and are appreciative and proud of the school.

Our vision is shared by all staff, and together we are responsible for upholding and promoting the values within it. Staff are supported at all levels by middle and senior leaders in their teaching, behaviour management, career development and wellbeing.
