16-19 Tuition Fund

The Government has introduced the 16 to 19 tuition fund to support students who may have had their learning disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The funds can be used to support a small group of 3-5 students as well as 1:1 tuition in English, Maths and other courses where learning has been disrupted, and will be in addition to the planned study programme hours.

The guidance related to the fund means that:

  • Learners who do not have 4-9 passes in either or both English and Maths GCSE at the end of KS4  will be prioritised for support using this fund.
  • SEND students will be considered where they have experienced additional disruption to learning as a result of their specific needs and disabilities.
  • Vocational students needing skills support and development where assessment has been deferred because of lockdown

Our commitment is to ensure the tuition fund is used in accordance with the Government’s guidance and the support will be delivered during the 20/21 academic year with notification being given to the Education Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) of any unspent money from the fund for it to be reclaimed.
